All Pumpkins are Carved/Shaved with Woodcarving tools not painted. The black and grays are created from sharpies and pumpkin white space. My friends and I started a Pumpkin Carving contest in my home town which has since branched out and was held at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket Mass last year. Thanks!! Originally I was cursing my son for choosing this costume (cause I do my pumpkins pertaining to the costumes we wear that year), but over all once it was completed it was def. one of my favorites.
